Rap/Rock supergroup Prophets of Rage, a revolutionary assembly of Public Enemy, Cypress Hill and Rage Against the Machine members, just released the second video single to their self-titled debut, dropping in September. “Living On The 110,” a poignant piece about homelessness, follows the Michael Moore directed video for “Unf*ck The World,” their first off the upcoming LP. As expected, it is just as politically charged.
The well edited visuals, composed largely of artistically rendered stock footage, features an array of unfortunate statistics ranging from sad to infuriating. For example, the video illustrates that “the 400 richest Americans own as much wealth as the poorest 150 million” and that “families with children compromise 41% of the homeless population.” It also guest stars some actual homeless men and women and shares some of their possibly untapped potentials.
