The Rage Against the Machine frontman remixed the classic OutKast track from Stankonia.
Three weeks ago, Sony Music announced the forthcoming release of an expanded vinyl edition of the award-winning Outkast album Stankonia. In honor of the album’s 20th anniversary, the album’s singles will be released along with a bundle of rare remixes. On Monday, the group shared Zack de la Rocha’s remix of the hit single “Bombs Over Baghdad.” The track, recorded in Atlanta’s Southern Tracks Recording studio in 2000, was originally released only to radio. Twenty years later, get your hands on a copy for the album’s anniversary.
“Zack added an extra layer of grunge to a masterpiece,” Big Boi said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “I’m a fan of the Rage sound,” Andre 3000 added. “So it was an honor to have them involved in a remix.”
