Bad Bunny Makes Grammys History as First Spanish-Language Artist to Earn Best Album, Record and Song Nominations in One Year

Three years after “Un Verano Sin Ti” became the first Spanish-language album to earn a Grammy nomination in the album of the year category, Bad Bunny‘s latest release, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” (“I Should Have Taken More Photos”), has earned him the nod once again.

Adding to the milestone, the album’s title track also earned him nominations in the song and record of the year categories — making Bad Bunny the second Spanish-language act to appear in the category and the first to appear across the big three in the same year. (“Despacito” from was the first Spanish-language song to appear in both the record and song categories in 2018.)

The genre-expansive and culturally-empowering “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” notched a total of six nominations on Friday. Bad Bunny is also up for best album cover (a new category), best música urbana album and best global music performance for “EoO.”
