Blame it on Meka | June 19, 2014 | 2dopeboyz
It turns out that Angie wasn't entirely leaving the radio world behind, as afterresigning from her longtime post at Hot 97 yesterday it was announced by Clear Channel that she has in fact moved on to rival station Power 105 in New York (as well as Miami's 103.5 The Beat). In a brief press release (revealed on Instagram by Power 105's Angela Yee) Angie left a brief message:
“I want to thank, Thea Mitchem, Tom Poleman and Doc Wynter for this incredible opportunity. I'm excited to join Power 105.1 in New York and The Beat in Miami and expand my brand even further in the coming months.”
No word on when she will actually begin her new gig (she said on her last Hot 97 show, which you can watch below, that she will take a break for a bit), but fans can expect her to return to radio in a few weeks.
