In the official trailer for TILL, Mamie Till Mobley seeks justice after the 1955 Mississippi lynching of her teenage son Emmett Till.
The quest for justice lives on in upcoming Emmett Till and Mamie Till Mobley biopic, TILL. On Monday (July 25), the official trailer for the Chinonye Chukwu-directed film was released, with 14-year-old Till embarking on a summer vacation from Chicago to Mississippi, where he’s accused of speaking inappropriately to a white woman. The real-life accuser Carolyn Bryant Donham is still alive in Raleigh, North Carolina, who claimed in a recently-discovered 99-page manuscript that she did not want Till to be lynched.
Through United Artists Releasing and Orion Pictures, the film stars Danielle Deadwyler, Whoopi Goldberg, Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, Jayme Lawson, Tosin Cole, Kevin Carroll, Sean Patrick Thomas, John Douglas Thompson, Roger Guenveur Smith and Haley Bennett.
