Alexis Cannon aka LEXcann is a songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. Her distinctive cadence matched with hints of rap creates a unique style and sound you will not find anywhere else. She began her music career as a rapper in 2011, releasing several mixtapes over a 7 year period featuring other Louisiana artist like Kevin Gates and YMCMB Flow. Lex's dreams of being a rapper seemingly came to an end in 2019, when she made the decision to quit making music. After taking a break from the recording studio, Alexis is finally back behind the microphone. In 2022 after her father passed away she released an EP focusing on the stages of grief. She hopes her lyricism will help other people who are facing similar life struggles. Lex’s new single “Toys” has been gaining attention as she raps about social issues and feeling accepted.
