Macsen Apollo of the V.E.R.A. Clique and Critical Akklaim of Souls of Rap Folks are proud to launch Thursday Night Live (TNL) at the CELLspace Artist Collective. TNL is a new monthly showcase featuring the best musicians of all different genres from all around the Bay. Through discovering quality musical acts and featuring them in a fully documented showcase, TNL serves as a forum for independent artists and progressive audiences to naturally come together and participate in the Bay Area's continually dynamic musical scene.

"We are excited to create a venue that’s really committed to giving really good artists more support and exposure." --Macsen Apollo.

“For the last fourteen years, CELL has been a place for new, emerging artists to push the envelope and break out to new levels. I'm happy that CELL is still around and that we get to be a part of its history." -- Critical Akklaim

TNL kicks off with the talents of:

Holly Saucy (Pop/Electro/Indie Rock), a songstress, emcee, and radio-show personality who was featured in WeB Girlz 2008 European Tour with the likes of Roxanne Shanté, Bahamadia, Invincible, Eternia, Shania D, Stacy Epps, Yarah Bravo, and DJ Shortee. She also participated in Europe’s Hip Hop Kemp Festival with artists, such as The Roots, Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Mr. Lif & Akrobatik, and Zion-I.

Isis Genesis (Electro-soul), a singer whose music blends the elements of gospel, soul, rock, funk, hip-hop, and electronica into her own innovative style. She has shared stages with artists, such as The Attik, Rob Bess, Jimmie Reign, Mic-G, Melina Jones, Laegue510, Bambu, Ise Lyfe, Aceyalone, and Grammy Award Winner, Ludacris. Isis has also worked with San Francisco based dance band, Afro-Mystik and Roots Reggae Band Jahkuumba.

EyeZon (Alternative/Hip Hop), a South-African born, Northern California emcee promoting his sophomore full-length album "A People Like Us." With "A People Like Us," Eyezon touches on variety of subjects, including the dangers and racism that were rampant in South Africa during his childhood as well as common issues of love, loss, abortion, and homelessness.

The Serendipity Project (live funk, hip-hop), a soul collective from Santa Cruz, California. They blend sultry vocals and golden era lyricism with some of the funkiest musicians all fused together with Santa Cruz punk rock, surf, and vital vibrations. The Serendipity Project has toured nationally, and has frequently opened for Del The Funky Homosapien.

CELLspace is located at 2050 Bryant Street between 18th and 19th Streets in San Francisco's Mission District.

The event begins at 9pm with live sets beginning at 10pm.

Stick around after the live show while DJ E-Train
spins Soul, Dance and Old-school Hip-hop.

Again, this is a free event. A bar and concessions will be provided.
This event is 21 and older.

Please contact Critical Akklaim at akklaim@gmx.us with any questions. Hope to see you out there!
