About HIATUS KAIYOTE

"Okay. I'm done. In love." - Erykah Badu

"Oh. My. Gawd. This. Is. DOOOOOOOOOOOPE. This coming from a cat who drowns in music everyday. Once in a blue moon, something moves me so much I’m willing to alienate friends when an UNDENIABLE project comes along. THIS is that project." - Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson (The Roots)

Every so often a band comes along that captures the collective imagination, with all the essential elements in place to become a musical movement. Hiatus Kaiyote strikes the perfect note merging poetry and polyrhythms. On their debut album Tawk Tomahawk it’s as if the vast desert landscape has opened up, borrowing ingredients from far-reaching lands to concoct a distinctive flavor that is the essence of all its parts. Each song whispers of delicious, ancient stories untold.

Hiatus Kaiyote has a style that can’t be easily pinpointed. Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Tupac Shakur, Flying Lotus, traditional flamenco and music from Mali and Colombia have influenced the group - future soul at its finest !!

about MOSES SUMNEY

First check his REPACEABLE video

"I sing, write, play the guitar, and live loop. World domination is taking longer than I imagined it would."

SPIN Magazine calls him a "soul-folk warrior," Okayplayer "a name you should be hearing plenty of," and Pigeons & Planes called his voice a "breathing instrument that suggests a depth of feeling lyrics can only partially express.

All of this, and he hasn't even officially released any music yet.

about OSCAR KEY SUNG
This Melbourne singer songwriter producer has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most prodigious talents in Australia’s vibrant music landscape. Oscar has received international acclaim for his refreshingly spacious productions, buoyant performances, and a sumptuous voice that harkens back to a classic lineage of heart-on-sleeve r&b stars. Key Sung was handpicked by Ghostpoet and MeLo-X to produce their debut release as MELOGHOST, ‘WecanWORKitout’. Quickly receiving over 44,000 plays and with further collaborations in the pipeline, Oscar’s latest single ‘WIMLTM’ recently clocked 15900 plays with no backing or performances.

Now receiving praise of BBC Radio 6 Gilles Peterson, Oscar is set to bring his starling story to the international stage
