NYC’s Subatomic Sound System will appear at Sweetwater Music Hall alongside Jamaican MC/vocalist Screechy Dan, on Friday, August 4. The band will be performing a set that will feature some of their collaborations with the late great Lee “Scratch” Perry (producer of Bob Marley & The Wailers), as well as songs with Screechy Dan, like "Champion Sound" & "Babylon Soon Fall." Founded at the turn of the millennium, Subatomic Sound System has built a rep worldwide for genre-bending dubwise productions, explosive shows, and breaking down barriers with a positive conscious message. They adapt 1970’s Jamaican sound system culture and analog dub reggae techniques to current bass music genres, digital technology, and live performances.
