Sarchasm is a pop-punk band from the Easy Bay that draws influence from several different areas: the fast-paced angst-core music of the Berkeley punk scene, the pop simplicity of The Beatles, and the youthful spirit of teenagers. Crafting heartfelt songs that draw influence from the rich leftism of the Bay Area, their peers, and the world around them, Sarchasm tackles subjects such as the injustice of war and police brutality ("Apathy", "Point Blank Range"), friendship ("Your Rock", "Trains"), and social commentary ("The Agony of my Heart", "Supersize Me"). Capturing inspiration from the likes of Green Day, Rancid, Streetlight Manifesto, and Nirvana, Sarchasm has created a unique sound that boasts of pop roots and punk ideals, with a little bit of ska sprinkled in for a good measure - music that both parents and children alike can get up and dance to.
