The Plump DJs are a global phenomenon. Their London night Passenger was instrumental in developing breakbeat into the sound we hear today, as well as giving it a massive boost into the general club land consciousness of the time.
The Plumps’ own productions have also been groundbreaking. You can hear them played everywhere from Funky House to UK Garage nights, being caned by DJ’s from Erick Morillo to Rob Tissera.
Their Hot Mix for Radio One’s Essential Selection is the most downloaded segment in the shows history, and their regular Eargasm nights at Fabric continue to break the London superclubs attendance records.
