About Kat o1o
...Prodigy Kat Ouano has been playing piano since the age of six. As the keyboardist for the Bay Area live hip-hop group Crown City Rockers (formerly MISSION:), Kat has honed her skills recording and touring world-wide. Having studied at the Berkelee College Of Music, the 23-year-old's sound derives from classical and jazz traditions.

Kat speaks a musical language that is specific and languid and brings a classical foundation into a jazz hip-hop era hungry for categorical blending. Steadily playing with Crown City Rockers, the Broun Fellinis and Variable Unit. She has studio work and solo efforts in the wings.

About Lady Fingaz
In 2004, DJ Lady Fingaz was honored with Best Emerging Hip-Hop Artist by Offbeats Best of the Beats awards for her accomplishments throughout New Orleans. In 2006 she joined Females Wit Funk a collective of the top female turntablists from around the world, which includes the likes of femme fatales Shortee, Tyra From Saigon, Annalyze.

About "Peaches"
"Peaches the Lady DJ Hip Hop party," is a weekly event at Skylark bar in the Mission district of The City. It features some of the Bay Area's most talented female DJs and skratch artists. Here, you'll experience top-notch Hip Hop, R&B, skratching, and vintage gems that make you move and groove. For a chill experience, there's lots of cozy tables and booths to chat and watch the dancing while you sip on a "Peaches" Bellini.

Prentice Grant: From Vauxhall to Legacy — The Rise of an Independent Hip-Hop Force

The first time Prentice Grant realized music could change his life, he was just a kid in Vauxhall, New Jersey, staring at the TV. Two kids not much older than him were on the screen — backwards clothes, fearless energy, commanding the world. It was Kris Kross performing “Jump.”And in that moment, something clicked. It wasn’t just the beat.It wasn’t just the crowd. It was the power. From that day forward, Prentice didn’t just listen to hip-hop — he became it.He sharpened his pen studying legends.…See More
