On Sunday, September 2nd, DUB MISSION will celebrate 16 years of spreading the dub virus throughout the Bay Area and beyond with stellar sets from DUB MSSION residents DJ SEP, VINNIE ESPARZA, and LUDICHRIS to get the dance floor jumping. West Coast’s ambassador of the raggamuffin stylee MISTA CHATMAN (Jam Jam/Seattle) will keep things lively pon di mic throughout the evening, then drop his own unique dancehall set with DJ SEP running versions from JA & beyond. NOT to be missed!!

DUB MISSION was started in 1996 as an alternative to the typical reggae night. The idea was to present the more cutting-edge side of the music (i.e. all forms of dub and progressive roots reggae dancehall) that had not been heard much in Bay Area clubs until then. Read more at www.dubmission.com

From the mountainsides of eastern WA to the sandy beaches of Jamaica and many places in between, reggae music ambassador MISTA CHATMAN remains livicated to entertaining the masses with his conscious, ragga-styled mic chatting. For the past few years he has performed in many festivals, shows and reggae parties in places like B.C., NYC, S.F. and JA, both solo and alongside artists such as Delhi2Dublin, Kytami, Subatomic Sound System, Jahdan Blakkamoore, Non Stop Bhangra. He has also shared the stage with many reggae greats such as Collie Buddz, Mad Professor, Barrington Levy, Marlon Asher, and Yellowman. Chatman is also an event host and promoter with his six-year Seattle-based weekly reggae party JAM JAM, and his seasonal all ages BABY LUVS REGGAE event. While his live appearances have been his main vehicle for spreading his musical message, he also has begun to focus on more recording projects and has collaborated with the likes of Canada’s Delhi2Dublin with Kytami, S.F. dubstep producer El Diablo, and Brooklyn-based glitch producer Rx. Forthcoming projects include tunes with Slit Jockey Record's El Carnicero, Jamaican artist God Head, B.C.-based producer The Phonograff, and local producer Shockman.
