On this night, DR. ISRAEL will world-premiere his new touring band, featuring the sultry Lady K on vocals, and Patch of Heavyweight Dub Champion on sonics. Doc will be performing songs from his classic dub and dancehall recordings, along with selected singles from his upcoming release on his new revolutionsound imprint.

DR. ISRAEL is a vocalist, producer, engineer, actor and revolutionary, based in Brooklyn New York. The Doctor’s work has always had a foundation in the deep tradition of dub, dance hall and reggae, but what makes him stand out is his ability to fuse these styles with drum and bass, hip hop, and even punk and metal. His trademark sonically devastating base tones and politically conscious lyrics are always delivered in a surprisingly accessible format for such an underground Icon. Some of his most notable solo releases are the underground hit albums “Inna City Pressure” and the chart topping “Patterns of War”. He has also made countless guest vocal, remix, and production appearances with the likes of Rancid, Praxis, Santo Gold, Sepultura, and Sublime to name a few. Most recently he has been touring extensively through out the U.S., Europe, Canada and Japan, for solo dub sets, and as a vocalist for Bill Laswell’s Method of Defiance project. The doctor is currently recording a new full-length album scheduled for a fall release. Collaborators include Mad Professor, Bill Laswell, Killlah Priest, Lady K, Patch, and many others.
