From the early days of Giant Step, to today's Turntables on the Hudson parties, producer/remixer/DJ NICKODEMUS has been a key element in the NYC dance music scene for over a decade. As a DJ and producer, he spans the World with sounds of Funk, Folk, Jazz, Hip Hop, House and Dub--all with a message of peace, awareness and love for the dance. He has been a supporting DJ for live concerts by the likes of Gil Scott Heron, The Pharcyde, Mos Def & Kweli, KRS-One, Thievery Corporation, Pucho & the Latin Soul Brothers, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti and many others, and has been a featured guest DJ at various clubs throughout the world and all major cities in the U.S. NICKODEMUS runs his own label--Wonderwheel Recordings--and has done remixes for artists like Billy Holiday, Thievery Corporation, Sultan Khan, Astor Piazzolla, Gilfeme, Dublex Inc, Nina Simone, Boozoo Bajou, Karuan, Madrid de los Austrias, and Truby Trio. His latest release on Wonderwheel Recordings is Sun People Remixed, featuring Earthrise Soundsystem, The Pimps of Joytime, Tal M Klein, Red Astaire, J-Boogie, Christian Prommer, Kush Arora, Adham Shaihk, Pablo Sanchez, Sabo, and many others. THE SPY FROM CAIRO--aka Moreno Visini, the artist formerly known as Zeb--has written hundreds of songs and produced over 10 albums over the past 12 years including five Organic Grooves albums, three Zeb albums, and two The Spy From Cairo albums. In addition, he has contributed to countless collections, including Turntables on the Hudson and Buddha Bar Compilations. This talented musician and studio wizard has done around 80 to 100 remixes for artists as diverse as Tosca, Billy Holiday, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Baba Maal, Astor Piazolla, Nickodemus, Novalima & many more. No wonder he is secretly famous!
