Event Description

French abstract hip hop extraordinaire DJ CAM makes a special appearance in SF!  Fresh off the heels of completing his latest release, Seven, his first album since Soulshine in 2002, CAM is ready to knock your socks off the dancefloor! Since starting his own record label in 1994 called, Street Jazz Records, and releaseing his first LP, "Underground Vibes, "Cam quickly garnered world-wide attention. Since then he's been on a serious roll, putting out top rated singles, remixes and LPS, while working with artists such as Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Kenny Dope, Kid Loco and more. His latest album, promises to be the link between Radiohead and Massive Attack. The ablum includes the slow burning “Love” featuring Nicolette, as well as the title track of the album, an instrumental atmospheric odyssey. Watch out for Seven dropping later this summer. Support from local scientists MOPHONO and CAREY KOPP keep this one on the level.
