Back by popular demand, Alborosie is returning for his second appearance in the US. Originally from Sicily, this dynamic performer started his career at the young age of 14. By the age of 17 he had formed the band “Reggae National Tickets” and signed with a number of big labels, including BMG Records. Over the next 10 years Alborosie produced 8 albums and became a superstar in Italy. In 2001 he moved to Kingston, Jamaica in order to reach a larger audience. This greatly influenced his style and has led to collaborations with some of the biggest names in Jamaican music, including Ky-Mani Marley, Jah Cure, Luciano and Morgan Heritage. He has been given the stamp of approval by Reggae Legends Sly and Robbie and Freddie McGregor to name a few.

Also performing will be Pressure, a native of St. Thomas and an original member of the Star Lion Family. With a foundation strongly rooted in the livity of Rastafari, Pressure comes forward with a full spectrum of vocals. He sings poignant, conscious lyrics that touch the soul, demonstrating to the world that, without a doubt, the pressure is on in these times. Opening acts will be XSample and DJ Jacques.

Alborosie will be appearing at the historic Craneway Pavilion situated in the heart of the East Bay, right on the bay front of Point Richmond. The 45,000 sq ft Pavilion features a soaring, industrial-chic interior, sweeping waterfront views and state of the art infrastructure. It is the largest and finest new, green event venue in the Bay Area and includes the 80-seat Boilerhouse restaurant featuring “slow-food” American Cuisine. Produced by United Earth Networks and Reggae on the Bay, Alborosie, is one of the first featured artists in an ongoing series at this stunning, world class venue. Within minutes from Berkeley and Marin, and only 20 minutes from San Francisco, this venue is a safe and secure event center featuring over 1,200 parking spaces. Come enjoy music and food at the new heart of the Bay Area music scene.
