Event Description

A Swedish (Techno) Mafia Invasion:
The Drumcode Tour!

listed Productions and Mighty are no strangers when it comes to joining forces to showcasing a solid night of music. The two will do it again on Thursday, October 16th with the highly acclaimed Drumcode Showcase featuring Adam Beyer and Joel Mull.

Beyer and Mull form the crux of what’s referred to the as the “Swedish Techno Mafia”. Dating back to their teens, Beyer first taught Joel how to spin records during their high school years. Once they had that down, it was on to a bit more creative side with an old fashion Atari. They would play around with it making sounds before moving onto the more traditional 303.

It was then in 1995 when Adam got his grand idea – making a record based solely around drum noises. After releasing two records on Planet Rhythm, he decided to form his own label focusing on his unique concept which lead to the inception of Drumcode. And with that, the world’s introduction to Swedish techno, circa 1997.

Through the years, Adam went on to meet and recruit the likes of Cari Lekebusch, Christian Smith, John Selway, The Advent and Marco Bailey to his growing, prestigious Drumcode label. He soon found himself all over the world as the headlining act and showcasing his pioneering sound across three decks. Globally known for his punishing, looped up techno mastery, Beyer also infuses his stripped down productions into the flow of his deck manipulation.

Mighty is the perfect setting for a night of signature Swedish techno meets San Francisco’s famed underground. Warming up the decks is notable local Andre Lucero and listed Residents, Hac Le and Nikita. Hac Le, an SF based Auralism Records label owner and one-half of the producer Kyaro, and Nikita, a seasoned resident at the coveted Endup, will spit out some of San Francisco’s sickest & wicked beats before the headlining artists. Hosting Room two will be Fiction bringing their monthly dose of quality techno. Voted “Best New Club in America” by Urb Magazine, Mighty is located on 119 Utah Street.
