Hailing from Saskatoon, Canada, James Garlimah attempts to bridge the gap between 90s R&B and Afrobeat. James derives his style from his upbringing in Monrovia, Liberia, where he was exposed to Afrobeat, R&B, Hip-Hop, and lastly, soul music. The exposure to these genres early on is manifested through his music today and contributes to his diversity as a creative individual.
