Bio:
Madrone Studios is a new media production house and event space specializing in green practices. Our location on the SOMA/Mission border places us in the ideal position to engage San Francisco's artistic community and to promote eco-economic sustainability.

Madrone Studios was founded to capture the creative energy unleashed by the internet, digital photography, film and special events. This unique space has hosted an exclusive client list that includes renowned photographers and brands such as NASA, Mos Def, Monotype Imaging, Open DNS, Black Rock City LLC and many other of the world’s most innovative and desirable brands.

Madrone Studios is raising the bar for photography, new media, and film/digital studios. Our contemporary European aesthetic sets a stylish, inspiring stage for traditional and digital shoots, corporate events and recording sessions. Centrally located, Madrone Studios is convenient for Bay Area photographers in need of top-quality film studio event space.

Our digital production goal is to create inspiring multimedia work (this includes dance, music, fashion, fine art, graphic design, and film) about cultural and environmental issues to bring about social change. Our event production goal is to host and organize talks, workshops, seminars, conferences, and performances that document and broadcast the wisdom of educators and artists.

At Madrone Studios we are committed to being green wherever and whenever possible. In our catering and promotion we use local farm-sourced organic food, reusable and/or compostable utensils and supplies, post-consumer recycled paper and eco-friendly inks.

Madrone Studios provides an extensive list of amenities for our clients and friends. Our 8000 sq. ft photo and film studio in San Francisco boasts a double CYC, drive-in access, a one-ton motorized crane, a partial grid, a catwalk, a full sound system, an 18’ cove and 20’ ceilings. This airy, light-filled space also features film loading and viewing areas, a deluxe client area, a fully equipped kitchen, a huge dressing room, laundry and shower facilities and a fantastic green room.
