Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Single
Bio:
Renée Asteria's music unites Reggae, passionate Latin grooves and profound Alternative Rock. Described as “musically adventurous” and “a one of a kind breaking of all rules” (C. Foster, Reggae Update, getthebeat.com), Renée Asteria’s songwriting reflects her life experience, multicultural background (US-born, Bolivian-Dutch heritage) and strong commitment to justice. In her junior album “Faces of Agent Double E” Renée marked a stylistic transition by taking her Latin-folk style and weaving it into Reggae.

After planting musical seeds in the Americas (Argentina, Bolivia, Canada, USA) and Europe (France, Switzerland) which culminated in a feature artist performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival in July 2008, Renée Asteria is growing roots in the SF Bay area.

Renee Asteria is current working on her next release of new genre “Female Fronted Latin Roots Reggae” .
