Bio:
PRoCLaiM-ation of Purpose and Life Bio: My Musik erupts out of the spirit of will. The strive and perseverance of the human epic. My existence and message is but a flinch in the grand scheme of the cosmos. In realizing this I become a being in my own time. The literal center of my conscious universe. A willer and a creator of my environment and surroundings in the time of now. In undergoing great stakes and pains in my journeys through Life, Philosophy, Psychology, and Hip Hop I have been able to write, produce, and record my first full-length album, “Question Everything” 20 trks/74min, now on sale. My upcoming album "Necessary Dissent" is currently available for pre-order. My name ?PRoCLaiM!, which appears with a question mark before the name and an exclamation point afterward to signify that we must always ‘question everything’ before we ?PRoCLaiM! it as true. My music portrays the natural evolution of man in this bewildered age of postmodernism where we still have not found peace and unity on Earth. I was born and raised in the East Los Angeles/ Montebello area where drug trafficing and gang violence have existed for many generations. In my youth I was involved in a variety of clicks and crews joining a multiplicity of Hip-Hop sub-culture organizations first with b-boying, graffiti, before I digressed to join the gang activity in the community. After a long host of trials, tribulations, and an almost a year stay in jail as a juvenile I was fortunate enough to attend a reformatory military academy where I was able to find truth, joy, and a sense of accomplishment through education. I have since been on a life-long quest of knowledge of self in learning the thoughts of others, examining the evidence of the sciences, and most importantly learning how to think for myself in creating my own truths. I have combined what was has been known as philosophical thought with music in a way completely new to man. My music is a culmination of culture and thought from the urban evolution of Hip Hop music in the South Bronx NY to the history of philosophy as far back as the Ancient Greeks. I have attained two bachelors degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from California State University, Fullerton. During that time I fell in love with the consciously positive underground movement of hip hop that was still staying strongly at the time with a host of leaders and acts from Nas and Common to Dead Prez and Gangstarr. With my deep-rooted passions for Philosophy and helping people through Psychology, I decided to combine all my academic inquires into conscious musical lyrics with both of a positive message and a an accurate depiction of the history and times we live in today. I have since been rocking the mic and making beats for about 5 five years. I produced 17 of the 20 tracks on my first album as well as solely wrote, recorded, arranged, mixed, and mastered the entire album virtually all on the solo in my own studio known as ThaBeatCave. I am currently booking shows, hosting debates, and trying to get my music out to the world by any means necessary. I try to inscribe a message of some sort in every song I write to make people think about the world we live in and perhaps aid them in coming up with their own ideas to make a change to better the earth for all mankind. My lyrics also emphasize the importance of education, the glorification of science to better life, the use of human reason to guide conflict, and a realization of the harm religious indoctrination has caused the world now and throughout the ages. A better understanding of Humanism then, is the key focus of my music in aiding my fellow man throughout daily existence with dope beats and thoughtful rhymes. My second album "Necessary Dissent" which is now available on itunes and my website. I recently moved to the bay area to complete my M.A. degree in Psychology. My music is a force of education and experience. Much love and thanx to all my fans that have supported me all throughout the years in promoting quality free thought hip hop music! Peace 2 all, “Hip Hop is Life”- - -PRoCLaiM
