Note-able Quotes:

Trey Spruce (Secret Chiefs 3 / Mr. Bungle)
“Fucking incredible. Who are you? What the hell are you up to?? Very very nice CD. Let's just say that only a fool would not recognize your "adeptness". But I found it listenable too, which is great fun for me, since most of what I recieve from "on high" is rarely lacking in the gymnastics department, but in dire poverty in the "interesting, worthwhile, engaging" department. Clearly you are someone with enormous musical training - good to see it didn't ruin your vision as an artist. Nice work. I dream of the possibilities..."

San Francisco Bay Guardian
“MOCHIPET: NOT another lame laptop guy. ..”. -Will York

Pitchfork Media
“…wacky interpretations overlap psychotically in a glorious flourish of creativity. “

Toph One (XLR8R)
“keep an ear on that Mochipet character–his shit is DOPE.”

Richard Devine (Schematic /Warp Records)
“I have been listening your shit all the time lately. Its fucking sick! I love your music!”

“some technique-obsessed modern day electronic music listeners will undoubtedly have trouble with Uzumaki. Well fuck them”

BASSBIN TWINS
“'machinedrum n mochipet' = boh! keep on mochipet “

Otto Von Schirach (Schematic/Ipecac)
“Traxx Atre fuckin Lush! Hell Yes... They Sound Wicked as Hell, Mama's Breakcore!"

DJ Rupture (tigerbeat6)
“i am approx. one thousand, seven-nine hundred, sixty two dozen days late on a MOCHIPet remix .... and yet he is STILL my friend. Amazing! Obviously a true gentleman.”

edIT (Planet-Mu / Alphapup)
"Lyrical giants vs. they Might be giants is still the shit!...."

Al-Haca Soundsystems
“mochi, gotta drop a line again: machinedrum song is the shit!!! “

LiWei, Chiang (Recorderz taiwan)
ur music fucking rockz! btw, it would be great if u ever come back to taiwan, and do a live set!

XLR8R
“This is the record of your next gallery opening and/or backyard barbecue. If both Burt Bacharach and MF Doom are there. Quality. -Matt Earp”

BBC
“blends some of the more dissonant moments of Kid 606, Hrvatski and Lexanculpt into cut and paste drill and bass”

Absorb.org
“hearing this evokes the kind of feelings and wild imagery that kids in the 30s must have felt the first time they heard jazz, or swing, or that drum solo kick in”

Outsight: The Tommies 2002
Mochipet creates dense works of breakbeats and soundbites. There is a real absurdist quality to the music. – Tom Schulte

The Squids Ear
“It would make any long-distance drive fun; just watch the speedometer. It's an enjoyable compilation of fun and spirited tracks.”

Tentacles E-Zine / Yip.org
“A brilliant album for anyone who is looking for something a little different.”

SFGate
"Ray Barbee n Mochipet," summery beats courtesy of local laptopper Mochipet and South-Bay-born-and-bred skateboarder-musician Ray Barbee. – Bill Picture

MOCHIPET anything off "Combat" - Best Remixes of 2003

Fat Planet (Sydney, Australia)
“we trip from oriental breakcore and a devilish charleston, to glitch’n’swing and electroCash (couldn’t resist it).”

West Coast Performer
“This is not a symphony of staffs and strings, but of ports and plugs. The conductor is located stage right, peering at the screen of a borrowed Mac desktop. His given name is David Wang, but tonight he goes by Mochipet “ -Nate Seltenrich

Future Music Magazine (UK)
“It’s the sort of track any ad guy could use on a mobile phone campaign to instantly propel David to the kind of status enjoyed by Røyksöpp and a hundred other rich royalty collecting acts… Thing is, you get the impression that this is exactly where David doesn’t want to be. Oh well.”

PopYourIt!
Lucky for all us, EMO grindcore master, “Mochipet” just pulled a Dr. Phil to shed some light on this taboo subject
