Profile Information

Bio:
Darrin Hodges danced his way out of the cold hard streets of Oakland to become one of California’s most notable creative director, producer and entertainment specialist. He recently added H.M. and Associates, a Professional Management & Consulting firm, to his empire. He now has a host of loyal clients who rely on Darrin’s expertise to “get the job done right.”

He's creations include:
Praise, the Ultimate Worship Experience, The Big Pick, Funkfest, The Lyricist’s Lounge, A.B.C (Another Bay Area Collaboration). His experience was highly respected after becoming one of the producers of the, “HIP HOP Elevation..” Mayor Jean Quan of Oakland, and the Office of Parks and Recreations, has entrusted Darrin to manage the production of, the annual “Sunday’s in the Redwoods, Concert Series.” Over the past 6 years he has worked with nationally known artist such as: DWELE, Angie Stone, George Duke, Pete Escovedo, Ledisi, Michael Morgan and the Oakland East Bay Symphony, Martin Luther, Silk-E, Rankin Screw and Goapele, just to name a few. He is slated to work with Chrissette Michelle, Latoya London (former American Idol contestant) and the Whispers, later this year. Darrin has lent his talent as a production manager for such stage plays as, Mary B. Morrison’s SINGLE HUSBAND’S and KAYROD PRODUCTIONS DIVA.

His inspiration comes from his deep, unbreakable relationship with God. The strength of his faith, allows for the constant challenge of his creativity and management style, which yields the best artistic representation, of any production great or small. His personal mission of paying it forward is represented by working the youth who have a desire to become a part of entertainment industry. He does not want the youth to be educated, solely with the artistic skill of their choice, but also trains them to be business savvy in a world where working smart, is the key to a successful career. Darrin believes strongly in the 3p’s, People, Places and Projects. It is these 3 elements that are the driving force behind his daily push for the better.
