Yo, I was on the air telling Dyson about my book and site with what I call "Documixes." I got MLK, Malcolm, H.Rap Brown and others up there, including mixes on the Iraq war done over hiphop and jazz.
My novel 21 Hustle aka "the funkyhiphoopnautic," is set in the near future and fuses hoop, spirituality, humor, and a bunch of stuff about Africa. 21 Hustle was a way to provide answers and solutions as if they have already occurred and that was the way I wrote it-it won't fit into any genre.
I've seen your site and was looking for the magazine, since anytime I did a search on my book, your site came up---I'm a writer/journalist but do fiction as "Melki."
Currently working on my second novel and eventually plan to do some film and comedy writing.
