This Sunday, S.F.'s own Stronghold Sound will be in the house with dub Snakkr (Duniya Dancehall, Layover) spinning new roots, dubstep, dancehall and Gnawa-dub from their upcoming release, Audio Refuge, featuring Bongo (Wontanara, Duniya) and Iggy Mon (Afrolicious). Dub Snakkr, is one of the founders of Stronghold Sound, a Bay Area-based production studio focusing on roots and contemporary sound coming from West & North Africa, the Middle-East, India, Latin America and the Carribean. Fresh to the Bay Area scene from Guinea Conakry, Alpha Oumar "Bongo" Sidibe has been playing and teaching roots Manding rhythms through classes, events and his band, Wontanara.
