Featuring DJ APOLLO

+ DJ Omar B2B Marco AV Insasnity and more TBA.

Hosted by Saturn Rising

DJ Apollo (Apollo Novicio) was originally born in the Philippines but grew up in San Francisco. Known for his many musical styles, from hip hop to soul, funk, breaks, 80’s & disco to name a few, DJ Apollo was one of the first DJs to experiment with the turntable as a musical instrument, which helped elevate the skill into an art form and turn the DJ into a musician.

World Champion, hip hop legend & musical pioneer in the global turntablist scene, he is one of the founding fathers of the modern party rocking dj style & is on a constant quest for innovation as he sets dancefloors a blaze in some of the hottest clubs across the globe. Apollo is one of the few DJs in the world that has appeared on the three major late night talk shows, including David Letterman, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien. As a founding member of the ground breaking DJ crew Invsibl Skratch Piklz (originally named Rock Steady DJ’s along with Mix Master Mike & Qbert) he went on to become both USA DMC and World DMC Champion literally bringing whole new techniques to the genre. Apollo was inducted into the DMC DJ Hall of Fame (1999), the International Turntablist Federation (ITF) Grand Wizard Theodore Award (2000), and the Hip Hop Slam Hall of Fame Award (2002) presented by Billy Jam.

In October 2014, Apollo’s Triple Threat crew became the first Red Bull SF Culture Clash Champions beating out world class competition including Dirty Bird (featuring Diplo, Major Lazer, Pharoh Monch, Craze, Too $hort and Daft Punk), Tomenta Tropical & Dub Mission to take the crown.
