Oakland Carnival is Northern California's premier Caribbean Carnival!
After 3 years of the pandemic, Oakland Carnival brings culture, community, and wellness back to Mosswood Park on June 4th, the first Saturday in June!
Always the first Saturday in June, Oakland Carnival presents platforms for local and international artists to shine. Oakland Carnival's unique inclusion of African Diaspora Art & Culture, Caribbean, Latin, Brazilian, and African American cultures represents the flava of the Bay Area.
Multi generational, family-friendly showcase of international food, music and dance. The 2022 festival will feature multiple curated stages and activity zones repping for the culture, the community, and our wellness:
- Carijama Vibes hosted by Tropic Soul Bay Area
- Latin Zone hosted by Kulcha Latino, Curated by InkaKute
- Axé Wellness Dance & Drum hosted by King Theo with dance classes by Diamano Coura, SambaFunk!, and more plus live Brasilian bateria’s.
- Youth Zone sponsored by Higher Ground
