LOVE MOVEMENT is a monthly, healthy, safe, all inclusive, intergenerational, rooted experience celebrating - with integrity and authenticity - the Bay Area's historically (r)evolutionary spirit, cultures and communities.

we are re-defining what a friday night in 2013 can look like...

we are re-birthing good clean fun...

we are re-minding ourselves what matters...

love.

using fun, creative, engaging, thought provoking and consciouness raising ways we humbly offer you a time, space and place to move forward - in the name of love for the people, love for the culture, love for the town, and love for ourselves. 

every month we focus on a theme and make a love offering to you, doing the best we can with what we have, and invite you to do the same.

The theme this month is Mother Love. Think about what that means to you.

Food will again be provided by Needa Bee
Menu: veggie lumpia. roasted chicken wid an adobo glaze. Vegan pinakbet (philippino style gumbo). Sticky rice. Garden salad. Coconut sweet bread.

Young Oakland will be in charge of the kids programming.

Gibran will be serving up the tea.

A talk and facilitated discussion by Samsarah Morgan
She is a black grandmother/mother/godmother who has been a midwife/doula/natural birthing educator and advocate for the past 20 yrs and has delivered more than 1000 babies. She is the founder and head midwife at Nia Birthing Center in North Oakland which focuses on serving and training working class and low income women of color to birth naturally.

An interactive presentation by Atava Garcia Swieciki on the subject of plant/flower medicine

$8 for youth 5-17years old
youth under 5 are free
