A special evening of soulful live music you can feel deep down to honor the patrons of Yoshi's for one night only. A night of Soul, Funk, hip- hop and Latin music all in one house. Dana Salzman and her band are a group of top notch musicians who's music will move you.
A shot in the arm to Bay Area soul, funk scene, when it comes to a musicians musician, Dana Salzman has it. She's a producer, writer, singer. With her third CD release entitled "Rising" it has been garnering international attention. The great Lenny Williams is quoted as saying " she has one good song after another." Born at the demise of Disco, in the middle of Funk, and the inception of Hip Hop, Salzman was born in the music. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, She grew up in Cali's South Bay Area, then off to the New School of Jazz in New York for 10 years were she got her chops, studied with some of the greats, and played at numerous venues with her band. Now a product of Oakland, California she's loving it!

Also, included in the band is Jaz Sawyer, one of the hottest young drummers in the jazz/ hip-hop/ r&b scene. An amazingly talented musician, Jaz who is also a graduate of the New School of Jazz has played with Wynton Marsalis, Abbey Lincoln, and also wrote music for George Benson..

Joining Dana on stage will be the world famous Rappin 4tay who had the chart topping hits "Players Club" and "I'll be Around." 4tay is reaching a whole new level with a live band and has an exciting new sound.

Opening this incredible show is the Bay Mrs., a dynamic duo of women who sing original soulful r&b over smooth grooves. These two women blend beautiful tasteful harmonies with enchanting melodies. Hosted by Bay Area Funkateer and Radio Personality Gary "G-Spot" Baca.

If you truly want to hear some fresh new live music coming out of the bay area that will move you deep down, then you don't want to miss this show. Make sure your not late. It's gonna be ONE BIG PARTY!
