The first episode of the new podcast Infamous: The Tekashi 6ix9ine Story, put out by Complex and Spotify, answers that question. Angie Martinez narrates the story of Daniel Hernandez, a kid from Bushwick, Brooklyn who turns a chance meeting in a deli into a burgeoning rap career—while being drawn to gang life the whole time.
In the episode, we hear from a variety of people who helped to shape the controversial artist: the people who gave him his signature hair and tattoos, the Scumgang members who mentored him, the producer who made some of his earliest songs, and more.
New parts in the eight-episode series will come out every Tuesday, exclusively on Spotify. To hear episode 1 of Infamous, listen below or go here.
