Spotify‘s annual Wrapped campaign has begun, and as music streamers share the top artists they listened to not only this year but for the decade, it’s one particular part of the campaign that has divided users of the music streaming service.
There are several parts of the Wrapped campaign that display a listener’s top artists, top songs, and top genre, as well as the amount of minutes one has spent listening to music on Spotify. Along with people sharing similar top artists and songs, they share similar top genres, including one titled “pop rap.” It’s this labeling that has led to people on social media debating what pop rap is.
