Following the untimely death of Joshua Brown, a key witness in the trial of former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger, three suspects have been identified. According to NBC News, the suspects who have been identified include Jacquerious Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, and Thaddeous Green.
NBC News reports that the individuals traveled from Alexandria, Louisiana to purchase drugs from Brown in a Dallas apartment complex, this has been confirmed by authorities.
According to Dallas Assistant Police Chief Avery Moore, Jacquerious Mitchell is currently in custody at a hospital, the other two suspects are being sought. At a news conference today Moore also shared that Michael Mitchell and Green are “armed and dangerous.”
Later in NBC News‘ report, it’s made clear that Jacquerious Mitchell told police that Green got “into a physical altercation with Brown.” This led to Green shooting Brown twice in the lower body, as stated by Moore. Brown then reportedly shot Jacquerious Mitchell in the chest. Following this Jacquerious Mitchell allegedly fell back into a car and said he heard two gunshots. Green then took Brown’s backpack “and the gun used to shoot Jacquerious Mitchell and the three suspects fled the scene,” according to Moore.
