Fellow "Bay boy," Raphael Saadiq joins us on Sway in the Morning for a conversation about his new album, 'Jimmy Lee,' named after his brother who he lost to drug addiction. Growing up in Oakland, where crack houses were on the same block as where he lived, and having siblings who were addicts, Saadiq opens up about how he chose to stay away from drugs.
While in-studio, he opens up about addiction in the music industry, Prince and Michael Jackson's fatalities, and working with Issa Rae on Insecure.
Before he left, Raphael Saadiq dropped a special surprise on us, confirming that Tony! Toni! Toné! is indeed coming back together!
