Coolio: Tommy Boy Records Purposely Sobotages Every Artist
Coolio explained why he thinks that Tommy Boy Records sabotaged his, and many other artists' third albums in this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV.
Coolio detailed how he and numerous other artists like Queen Latifah and Naughty by Nature went either Platinum or Double Platinum on their first two albums, but then sold minuscule numbers on their third albums. He believes that Tommy Boy Records purposely sabotaged their artists' third albums in order to minimize the amount of money they'd have to pay them, and also to limit the artist's financial power.
