The Scorchers Rocksteady Ska Band and Freddie Notes Rejuvenate Listeners with Melodic Rhythms and Powerful Vocals

A Reggae track that will get any fan of the genre grooving and immersed in its addictive tunes, ‘It’s a Scorcher’ is a wonderful new release

Maidstone, Kent, United Kingdom — October 3rd, 2022 – Reinventing the Reggae genre with their stunning musical compositions, The Scorchers Rocksteady Ska Band are all set to release a brilliant and original track titled “It’s a Scorcher.” Featuring Freddie Notes (of Montego Bay fame), the new single draws audiences into its unique and appealing rhythms.

With stunning vocals and infectious tunes,  “It’s a Scorcher” is a must-listen for any fan of Ska and a brilliant addition to the band’s discography.

Freddie Notes rose to fame with his first hit track, “Return from South Vietnam,’ which was recorded in Regent Studios, London, and released on Dandy Livingston’s Downtown label. More hit tracks followed for Freddie including: “Montego Bay,” “Down on the Farm,” and “Chicken Inn,” all of which were dropped with the album “Montego Bay,” in 1970 on Trojan Records.

The Scorchers met Freddie in 2017 and played with Freddie on several occasions, including at the prestigious One Love Festival. Their stunning new collaboration, “It’s a Scorcher,” marks just one chapter from their debut 12-track album, ‘ROCKSTEADY REVOLUTION.’

The Scorchers remain influenced by early Jamaican Rocksteady, Ska, and Reggae, melding diverse rhythms, original lyrics, and memorable melodies, to form an iconic and unique sound – The Scorchers sound!

‘We are proud of the album and hope you enjoy it. The album is fresh and adventurous, and the songs are from the heart. If you like Rocksteady, Ska, and/or Reggae, ‘ROCKSTEADY REVOLUTION’ is for you,” says the band regarding their upcoming record.

‘ROCKSTEADY REVOLUTION’ has been engineered and produced by Ian Dunston and Steve Carley, with songwriting and music composition by Steve Carley, Ian Dunston, and John Leonel together with Scorchers band members.

“It’s a Scorcher” is available for digital download on 160 online music platforms and 7” vinyl and CD. Visit https://www.thescorchers.co.uk/shop and stream the band’s official music on Amazon Music, Spotify, iTunes, and other platforms!
