ABOUT

Born and raised in Manchester, Dizz-E’s early exposure to American hip-hop legends like Nas, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg shaped his musical journey from the start. His initial steps into the world of music began in the late 1980s as part of the group Playskool. Even as he pursued a PhD in Psychology and served four years in the navy, Dizz-E’s passion for music never waned.

The artist’s career took a significant turn in 2018 when he partnered with the talented Base-P to form Critical Opinion, leading to the release of their acclaimed debut album, "Blocks," in 2019. Despite the creative slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dizz-E used the time to refine his craft, enlisting a vocal coach to perfect his delivery and flow, ultimately emerging with a renewed sense of purpose and artistry.
