- Angel Powers aka DJ Miss Powers spins all vinyl, funk, soul, hip hop every Saturday at East Bay Spice Company in Berkeley. Also, co founder of Venus Rising Collective. An all female artist collective aimed at supporting and providing a platform for exposure for female artists in the Bay and beyond.
Some of my biggest influences are Gil Scott Heron, Curtis Mayfield, Afrika Bambaata & UZN, ATCQ, Gangstarr, Zion I. Because of these influences, I have always felt that music is a great vehicle to positively influence people & share ideas that can make the world better.
