We all develop at a specific rate, evolve as experience dictates and permits. We also create, out of thought and deed the experience that is life. It's been roughly a year and a half since Jared Lee Taylor burned a niche for himself in the world of so-called "Underground Hip-Hop" Making his debut under the curiosity arousing moniker GRAND AGENT, he promptly astonished listeners and contemporaries alike. Quite the opposite of those counterparts though, AGENT opted not for a slew of singles to build his reputation. Indeed, from the very beginning he gave everything he had to who and what would become his following. The solo debut featured the handy work of not only some of today's hottest producers (HI-TEK, KUT MASTA KURT, CHOPS) but some of the genres most respected veterans (LORD FINESSE and AG of SHOWBIZ & AG) as well. In preparation for that all important sophomore effort, GRAND AGENT has stepped up his recording game and stage show by leaps and bounds. The time between "BY DESIGN" and the forthcoming "FISH OUTTA WATER" (INTERWORLD AGENCY MEDIA) has been spent touring extensively throughout Europe. COMMON, TONY TOUCH, LOOTPACK and LONE CATALYTS are among the many he has shared stages with in THE UK, NETHERLANDS, FRANCE, GERMANY, AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND, POLAND, CZECH REPUBLIC and all of SCANDINAVIA. GRAND AGENT got his start on the underground circuit in Philadelphia, USA with "NAME" in 1995. The trio of Mr. Cisum, Old Man, and Agent made a "name" for themselves by tirelessly releasing and promoting their music independently. In 1997 the debut single, "12" sold out its limited release. The next year, some tracks from the never-officially-released album "THE LOST PAGE OF THE B-BOY DOCUMENT" The group sold the album on home-dubbed cassettes at shows and local stores around the city. A four song EP titled "Artist Of The Yeah," featuring Philadelphia's own SCHOOLLY-D, THE MOUNTAIN BROTHERS AND POOR RIGHTEOUS TEACHERS was released in mid-2000. In 2002, "FISH OUTTA WATER" executive self-produced by GRAND AGENT while living in Cologne, Germany (since July 2001) promises to lift Mr. Jared Lee Taylor to his place among Rap Music's elite.
