The Fingerbangerz was born as 6 creative minds on the 24th of October in 1998. This unique collection of musicians consists of six talented dj’s/producers: Gwrex, Ngobility, Replay, Goldenchyld, Cutso, and Squareone. Together, they began winning both local and national competitions. In 1999, they received their first break when they were ask to open up for the X-Ecutioners with their mind blowing 12 turntable team routine. After rockin’ their first real show, they were personally invited to enter the 1999 I.T.F. (International Turntable Federation) team competition. They advanced to the Western Hemisphere competition in New York and placed third. This was their first competition as a team, but it wouldn’t be their last. Soon after, they invited Replay to join the crew, making him the 7th member. Together, they competed in the 2000 DMC Westcoast team finals in San Francisco and placed 2nd. After that, they advanced to the I.T.F. Western Hemisphere team finals in Las Vegas, and came out victorious as the 2000 I.T.F. Western Hemisphere team champions. This allowed them to advance to the world finals, where they placed 2nd in the world. GOLDENCHILD Like many other dj’s, Golden Child started doing mobile gigs. Eventually, he began entering local dj competitions, which later led him to national competitions. He released a mixtape along with Replay titled "Double Jointed," which was sold out before even hitting major record stores. He was also featured on Hip Hop Slams Turntable by the Bay, as well as The Meloists (Gwrex and Replay) latest project "Used Soul." In 2001, he received the San Francisco DMC title, which allowed him to advance to the USA finals. Soon after that, he was invited to compete in the Allies Allstar Beatdown. CUTSO Cutso won numerous Zebra Competitions, and placed top six in the 1999 DMC San Francisco Regional Championship. He is featured on NC Clothing’s Hip Hop Heads vol. 2-5, and is known to rock crowds up and down California. His love and eclectic taste for other genres of music is greatly contributed to the Finger Bangerz movement.
