AguaLibre is the new project from 7 of the former members of beloved Bay Area Latin Hip Hop group O-Maya. Combining Afro-Latin sounds, hip hop, soul, and funk, AguaLibre is guaranteed to get the dance-floor moving and the smiles flowing. They are rocking songs you've loved for years and new sounds you've been patiently waiting for. If you were at Reggae on the River, Monterey Jazz Festival or Earthdance last summer, then you have experienced this talented ensemble of high energy that flows from the stage to their fans. AguaLibre Features charismatic MC Rico Pabon and the beautiful voice of vocalist Destani Wolf the group can move you with their conscious lyrics as well as their versatile beats. The group features former O-Maya members Steve Hogan on bass, Valentino on drums, David Flores on timbales and percussion, Isaac Pena on trumpet and vocals, and Ali "Choco" Luna on congas and percussion. Also featuring Darren Smith on Saxophone and flute and Colin Hogan on the keys. AguaLibre Folks have played at or are currently booked at such venues as The Great American Music Hall, The Getty Museum of Los Angeles, The Elbo Room, Bimbos, The Ashkenaz, Brunos,Reggae on the River, Maui Cultural Center, La Pena Cultural Center, The Last Day Saloon, Stern Grove Festival, The North Beach Jazz Festival, The San Francisco Jazz Festival, Sacramento Heritage Festival, Roccopulco, California Plaza, Monterey Jazz Festival, The Temple Bar and more.
