Ask Phant'm {b/k/a Phant'm of the Hip-Opera} what rap record changed his life and he laughs. All of them. Ive been doing hip-hop since I was 11. I was raised by hip-hop. This is my destiny. Phantm's destiny is now your reality with hip-hop that doesn't rely on gimmicks and formula to get the job done: just a wicked beat and ingenious flow. Feel good songs, political thinkers, and club banger's are certainly part of his arsenal but there's much more to Phant'm. A lot of artists keep their art and personal lives separate. I cant do that. Rap is more therapeutic for me. Whatever I'm going through or feeling I put that into a song. Such is the case with moody cuts like My Release or Let it Be, which document the struggles he has undergone on the road from the street corner to the record industry. I want to be multi- faceted, Phant'm explains. I got club songs, I got girl songs. But a lot of my songs are personal, and you not only can feel how I felt, but see exactly what I saw .I give you a visual!! Born In NYC, Travis Snow lived in Brooklyn till he was 18 and from there moved upstate to attend college, and just recently graduated Touro College's Digital Media Arts program with honors, and now is a practicing recording engineer managing a studio in Brooklyn; while also working on other projects with many individuals in the music world. The youngest child of 5, Travis heard gospel soul & "oldies" in his home, and hip-hop on the streets. He absorbed the songs of old school legends like Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Krs-One & Kool g rap. Plus, gone before achieving greatness alumni: Tupac , Biggie, Big-L, and Big Pun. By the time he turned 16 Travis had decided to take his love of hip hop and his burgeoning skills to another level. I went on a total rampage in my area. If there was a cipher on the corner, or a show I was there. After a while it became common knowledge in my neighborhood that I was aiight and my confidence grew. So much so that Travis started hitting local studios to do his first tracks for the love of the music, and as release of aggression. Soon low-level industry types started buzzing around, filling his head with American Idol worthy dreams. The prospects of fame excited the 18-year-old but nothing came of any of the promises and so Phant'm just persevered and honed his craft. In 2004 things started to change as Phant'm self- promotion mind state led him to Good Money Studios& then Joseph Henry of 3thw music in 2006 where he currently has a non-exclusive publishing deal. Ask Phant'm what he wants people to walk away with after checking out his songs and he replies, A better feel of me. Not to feel like Im, am just an artist, but that I'm a regular person. And just a chance to bring them a completely different experience. Not just as a rapper, but as someone who made a huge impact on the entire entertainment industry on several levels.I'm very serious about what I do. This is the music Ive been wanting to make my whole life. BOOK PHANT'M FOR YOUR PARTY OR NEXT EVENT CALL TRAVIS @{914}320-5453
