KENDRICK LAMAR DROPS SECOND DRAKE DISS, “6:16 IN LA”

Just a few short days after returning serve with “euphoria,” Kendrick Lamar drops off his second Drake diss of the week in “6:16 in LA.”

Whereas “euphoria” was more or less a warning to the OVO frontman, “6:16” takes a more methodical approach (even down to the song title and the sample used in the production). Perhaps ironically enough, Kendrick even expresses his reluctance to engage in a verbal sparring with Drake (“God, ah / My confession is yours / But who am I if I don’t go to war?”) while simultaneously admitting he’s down for the get-down if need be (“I’m sorry that I live a boring life, I love peace / But war-ready if the world is ready to see you bleed”). Kendrick then uses the rest of the song to tell Drake to worry about his own peoples than him.
