Watch Missy Elliott Style Through the Decades in the "Why I Love You" Video
Fresh off the announcement that she’d be headlining the Governor’s Ball Festival, Missy Elliott has dropped a new video. “Why I Love You” is the third single from Elliott’s latest EP, Iconology.
The video begins with a mother and daughter surveying a museum. The daughter is coincidentally wearing an Adidas tracksuit reminiscent of Missy’s “Gossip Folks” video look. One exhibit–dedicated to Missy and the Demeanors–catches her eye. While her mother (played by Monica) goes off on a tangent about the good old days, Missy charms the daughter with a performance that spans three decades.
