Dave Chappelle was the latest guest on Letterman’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
This week, Netflix will release the third season of David Letterman‘s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. This season will feature appearances by Kim Kardashian-West, Robert Downey Jr., Lizzo, and Dave Chappelle. On Monday, Netflix released a clip from Chappelle’s appearance, where the two discuss the death of George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement, and more.
The preview shows the two discussing the efficacy of celebrities as public leaders.
“There’s no pension plan for leaders,” Chappelle said. “Martin Luther King died penniless. Malcolm X died penniless. I don’t want do that.”
When Letterman asked if it makes him a follower to be waiting on Chappelle’s opinion, Dave clarified.
