Watch Anthony Hamilton Sing a Soulful Rendition of the National Anthem

Anthony Hamilton almost makes you forget the National Anthem is the National Anthem.
Anthony Hamilton graced the court of the 2019 NBA All-Star Game to perform a smooth and stirring rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” Sunday night (Feb. 18) at Charlotte, North Carolina’s Spectrum Center.

The singer and North Carolina native turned the National Anthem into a soulful ballad, singing to the backdrop of two acoustic guitars. Many compared his version to Marvin Gaye‘s famous 1983 All-Star Game rendition.
