Anderson .Paak is celebrating Juneteenth by releasing a new song and video.
The song is called “Lockdown” and it features the rapper and singer reflecting on the global protests and social unrests that have been happening ever since George Floyd was killed on camera by Minneapolis police.
“Killed a man in broad day, might never see a trial, We just wanna break chains like slaves in the South,” Anderson .Paak raps on the track, which was produced by J.LBS and .Paak himself. The single cover is powerful: it features a list of people that were killed due to police brutality.
