Movies and television shows that have been directed by or feature the RZA usually incorporate a lot of martial arts (The Man with the Iron Fists, and uh… Marvel’s Iron Fist are examples). However his latest venture into film steers clear from that style.

On April 10th, Cut Throat City arrives in theaters. Starring T.I., Wesley Snipes, Ethan Hawke, Shameik Moore, Terrence Howard and Isaiah Washington, the film is described as an “action drama heist film” set against the backdrop of a post-Katrina New Orleans. This marks the RZA’s third film behind the camera, following The Man with the Iron Fists in 2012 and Love Beats Rhymes in 2017.
