Update: According to a report from CBS Sports, there is no plan for JAY-Z to become part-owner of an NFL team.
However, the report does stress that it doesn’t mean it can’t happen in the future. But, as of now, there is nothing written that says Jay will be part owner of a team.

I’m not a businessman. I’m a business, man.
JAY-Z will become part-owner of an NFL team, according to a new report from TMZ.
The site says they talked to people close to Jay, who said the legendary rapper will have a “significant ownership interest” in an NFL team. It has not been revealed what team Jay will be part owner of.
The source also said Jay wants to be part owner “because he’s a huge fan, already has a sports business and wants to continue to be a change agent for the NFL.”
What might make this complicated is his ownership stake in Roc Nation Sports. But, according to the source, “Jay is not an NFL agent and does not take part in the operations of the NFL players in Roc Nation.”
