Coachella Music Festival could be the next popular event to be canceled if the coronavirus gets worse. According to TMZ, one resident in Riverside County where the massive festival takes place has tested positive for the disease. Dr. Kamerson Kaiser, Riverside County public health officer shared details on the patient which were documented via social media.
Additionally, the hospital this person is being quarantined at the Eisenhower Medical Center is 25 minutes from where Coachella is hosted in Indio, CA. At the moment, TMZ reports Kaiser and his team are assessing whether or not the patient has been in contact with others and if more people have been exposed. He also shared that no decisions have been made on “the safety of future public events,” and this will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Coachella is scheduled to kick off on April 10.
